The history behind Kilvey Hill
Kilvey Hill is a resilient territory that has been able to get plants growing, trees and water running on it.
If you look at it, you could just think that it has been forever the beautiful green colour that has with all its nature on it, however, the history behind is that is a survivor of the postindustrial times, it used to be dead trees, and really highly toxic and black smoke, it was a lot of chimneys to make coal and also in the field it used to be waste on it.
Nowadays, it is good to have it with all the nature that represents it, it has Monterrey tree on it which it is also a very resilient type of tree, drought-tolerant, and resistant to pests and diseases, even though if they grow fast, four feet per year, for other trees can take longer and it could take years to get vegetation back again if the trees get cut and this area gets deforest so the best thing to do is to keep the area to keep the well-being of the nature and their habitants.
