Swansea Repair Space offers Free Repairs of Household Goods from the Environment Centre’s Highstreet Hub every Thursday and Friday from 10-4. We also accept drop offs for repair .

What can we repair?

Simply put, we can repair most household items

Typical items include electrical goods, technology, ornaments, clothes, bicycles for basic maintenance & guidance, jewellery, computers and more!

Is there anything you can’t repair

Unfortunately, we cannot repair microwave ovens, white goods, safety equipment, commercial goods or televisions, and nothing as large as a washing machine or fridge.

Can I stay while the repair is made?

We off while you wait repairs, so you can learn repair skills and watch your fix being made. We also offer drop-off repairs. Most of our volunteers fix in their free time outside of our opening hours, so there may not always be someone there to fix your item while you wait.

Can I get involved as a volunteer?

We are always looking for volunteers to get involved with our repair space.

Can I be a fixer?
Our amazing volunteers fix things that would otherwise be thrown away. In doing so, they help the environment by saving resources, share skills and get to meet like-minded people.

I’m not a repairer can I still be a part of Repair Cafe?
We are in real need of people who can meet and greet at our repair space - matching what needs to be fixed with the right fixer, taking photos to document and share what we do, helping visitors to fill out their paperwork or online forms and even promoting the repair cafe and answering questions from the public.

If you want to get involved please drop and email to repair@environmentcentre.org.uk or if you are not ready to register get in touch with us to find out more and come along to our repair space to see how it all works.

Do you accept donations of tools?

We are always in need of specalist tools and spares. Please get in contact if you have something you would like to donate. Due to limited space we cant accept every offered donation. Please check out this list of tools and spares that we are in need of.
