Egni Co-op are running an introduction to energy solutions in community building, with a focus on solar panels covering everything you need to know about their installation.

What will this workshop include?
This workshop will look at various buildings and explore their potential for a retrofit of green technologies including photovoltaic solar panels (PV).
The workshop will also cover the practicalities of solar PV installation and a hands-on opportunity to try out design software that identifies the best solar solution for your building.
it is a great starting point for those considering potential renewable energy options.
This session is completely FREE and is fully funded by the BIG Climate Leap project.
Who are Egni Coop?
Egni Co-op develops rooftop solar on schools, businesses and community buildings. They have installed 5 Mega Watts of solar panels on nearly 100 sites in Wales.
Their work has saved the sites they have worked on more than £115k in electricity costs and 1,000 tonnes in carbon emissions in the last year.
Egni Co-op is the largest rooftop solar co-op in the UK. All of their surplus goes into climate change education in schools.
What is the BIG Climate Leap?
The BIG Climate Leap engages community groups and individuals across Swansea to educate on climate change and develop action plans to reduce carbon footprints. The BIG Climate Leap is The Environment Centre’s response to the urgency of climate change. The projects mobilise the communities in Swansea to move towards a more sustainable world.
