Beach Sculpture Festival 2019
Jul 23 – Jul 27 all-day

Join a team of professional artists to create a display of temporary sculptures that inspire, inform and educate on beautiful beaches in Swansea and Gower. Learn new art skills and techniques in these FREE environmental art workshops. Between 10am and 4pm each day. drop in workshop with all ages and cultures welcome. Please bring buckets and spades, hats and sunscreen.

Playscheme on the Farm
Jul 26 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

A wide range of activities including adventure play, bushcraft, sports games, woodwork, junk arts and crafts. Children must be registered with the Farm before taking part.

For ages 8–16 yrs. Under 8’s welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Suitable clothing is advised. Fee: £1 per child per morning or afternoon session. This event is subject to continued funding.

Down to Earth Project Volunteer Day
Jul 27 @ 9:30 am

Monthly volunteering on an organic smallholding featuring organic gardening, land management and animal care in a friendly outdoor environment.

Big Butterfly Count
Jul 28 @ 1:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Be part of the world’s biggest butterfly survey. It only takes 15 minutes. Join the NT rangers in counting butterflies on farmland at the Vile.

Free event. Booking not required.

Walk the Worm
Jul 30 @ 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

Walk with the rangers to discover the wonders of Worms Head, the tidal island at the far end of Rhossili.

Free event but booking essential as spaces are limited.

Tots on Tyres
Jul 30 @ 11:30 am – 12:30 pm

Start them young and have some fun, for your little one who can’t ride. This is a fun session using all types of bikes, scooters, balance bikes and trikes. Working their way around an obstacle course this is great fun and practice to help them move closer to riding a two-wheel bike.

£5 per child. Booking essential.

Cycle Skills
Jul 30 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Cycling games, basic cycle maintenance and cycling skills training in preparation for National Standards Level 1. £8 per child. Booking essential

Road Safety Cycle Training: Level 1
Jul 31 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

National Standards Road Safety Level 1 for children aged 8yrs upwards. Training takes place in a traffic free environment at our venue and helps you to learn to control your bike.

Trainees must be able to ride a bike and must pass Level 1 before they can do Level 2.

£20 per person. Booking essential.

Evening Ranger Ramble
Jul 31 @ 5:45 pm

Join the Estate Manager for an enjoyable walk and talk around Penllergare Valley Woods and learn about our history, wildlife and ongoing restoration project.

Free but donations appreciated. £2 parking. Please wear sturdy shoes.

Suitable for ages 8+. Pace is slow but may include some steep paths and steps.
