The Environment Centre runs on grants and donations from many sources, and without this money we would not be able to continue the good work that we do. To help us, you can either make a single donation or become a member of the Centre for an annual fee. See our membership page for more information about each form of membership. We also receive grants from many different organisations, more information about the organisations we work with is on this page. We would like to thank everyone that donates to the Centre, without your help we wouldn’t be able to complete our mission.
The Big Lottery Fund Wales
The Big Lottery Fund is responsible for distributing 40 per cent of all funds raised for good causes (about 11 pence of every pound spent on a Lottery ticket) by the National Lottery – around £670 million last year. Since June 2004 we have awarded over £6 billion to projects supporting health, education, environment and charitable purposes, from early years intervention to commemorative travel funding for World War Two veterans.
City and County of Swansea
The City and County of Swansea funds the Change Fund Small Grants scheme as part of the Swansea Council for Voluntary Service.
Swansea Council for Voluntary Service
Swansea Council for Voluntary Service is the umbrella organisation for voluntary activity throughout the City & County of Swansea, supporting, developing and representing voluntary organisations, volunteers and communities in the County. We work to support and develop the Third Sector by providing a wide range of information, advice and support services and by representing the views of the sector to government and policy makers.
The Welsh Government uses grants as a key means by which to achieve its policy objectives and a significant proportion of our total budget supports grant funding.
