Education

Education

The Environment Centre works to raise awareness of environmental issues and help people take action to improve their lifestyles and the environment.

We do this by:

1. Offering training opportunities in a variety of environmental skills and issues.

2. Acting as a first point of contact for teachers, pupils and members of the public interested in finding out about environmental issues or becoming involved in practical projects.

3. Providing a varied programme of activities for schools and community groups.

4. Supporting school managers in developing curriculum ideas and environmental policies. Plus in-service training and resources.

5. Giving the opportunity for better understanding of the local environment, the threats it faces and what we can all do to improve things, by putting on exhibitions, special events and participating in local festivals.

6. Administering the Swansea Environmental Education Forum. For more information see their website here.
