Sept – Oct 2018 Exhibition: Saving Energy, Saving Money

A new exhibition will feature in the Environment Centre’s main hall from 12th September to 26th October 2018, concerning saving energy in the home and saving money. There will be practical advice and information on reducing your energy costs, including how to switch energy supplier, grants for greening your home, community energy schemes, energy monitors and smart meters, and easy lifestyle changes.

There will also be two advice worksops with uSwitch on Friday 14th September at 11am and 2pm (each about 40 minutes long), and a drop-in session on Saturday 15th September from 10am to 2pm. Come along to speak to an expert on understanding your energy bills, how to switch to a cheaper supplier or tarrif, and gain some great tips on how to reduce energy use in the home.

There will also be a workshop about Smart meters in early October – more details to follow.

The Environment Centre is open Tues – Fri 10am-4pm, or Sat 10am-2pm, however the main hall is often used for meetings and training events, so if you are wanting to visit the exhibition, please call in advance before making a special journey.
