Best Start Story Book Art Exhibition, July 2018

The Environment Centre is pleased to be hosting a new Story Book Art exhibition in June and July 2018. Positive early years experiences are so important to all children, and in Swansea Best Start are working towards ensuring that all children are given the very best start in life.

If children have the best start in life, they are likely to be healthier, more likely to be better learners and less likely to experience poverty and deprivation as adults. Having the best start in life can lead to a greater likelihood of having a good job and a better standard of living. They are also more likely to be able to look after the environment and contribute to safe and propsperous communities.

Two fantastic children’s story books have been written to support the Best Start Swansea Campaign. These story books focus on some of our key messages for parents. The fist book, ‘An Adventure With Gramps’ focuses on the importance of play, and spending time together, while the second book, ‘Rainbow Soup’ has a special focus on being as healthy as we can be.

Both books have been written by Swansea parents for their children, and for the children in Swansea to promote giving every child the Best Start in life. The parents’ fantastic artwork is up on display in the Main Hall, and FREE copies of the books (Welsh and English) are available to pick up.

Please check opening times before you make a special journey to view the exhibition.
