As part of Fairtrade Fortnight, we have been fortunate enough to be offered the use of Swansea’s Mansion House. We will be using the mayor of Swansea’s official residence to hold a Fairtrade Tea Party.

The event will start at 5.30pm and run until 7.30pm, so you can call in on the way home from work!

There will be fairtrade tea and coffee, homemade cakes and samples on offer. We will also be running a fairtrade quiz an holding Swansea’s first showing of the Fairtrade Foundation’s new film – Fairtrade Matters.

Fairtrade Matters is an evocative and thought-provoking short film, offers a glimpse into the lives of just two of the farmers and workers at the heart of Fairtrade.
Join Edson and Tsala to see the difference Fairtrade makes for them, their families and communities, and the challenges they face in a poignant portrait of the everyday reality of life behind the tea we drink. With the cinematic landscapes of rural southern Malawi never far away, this captivating, moving and sometimes stark film touches on the universal themes that affect us all – from providing for our children to planning for an uncertain future.
